Swedish Massage (1 hour - $65, 1.5 hour - $95)

Swedish Massage is one of the most popular massage styles around. It is very relaxing and perfect for relieving sore, achy muscles. In Swedish massage, special attention is paid to each individual muscles. Using body heat and pressure, the muscles are relaxed. During the massage, the focus is placed on each area of the body one at a time until the entire body has been relaxed.

NOTE: Deep tissue is not offered because "deep" is a relative term.  The massages are medium to firm pressure, sufficient for most clients.

Goals:
  • Relax achy muscles
  • Relieve tension and stress
Draping Options:
  • 1 full bed sheet (default)
  • 1 beach towel
  • 2 smaller towels (aligned in a "T" shape)
  • underwear draping (bottoms only)
  • no draping
Swe-Lomi Massage (1.5 hour - $95)

Swe-Lomi is a combination of Swedish massage and traditional Lomi-Lomi massage. It is quickly becoming one of my most popular massage styles! Swedish massage provides directed healing, by using the art of touch and pressure. Blood flow is positioned in the areas the body needs it most, bringing healing and pain relief to the body's sore muscles. Swedish massage is probably the most common form of massage in the U.S.

Lomi-Lomi massage was developed on the island of Hawaii. Lomi-Lomi massage is a very beautiful massage style not only to experience, but also to watch! The motion and fluidity of the style make it almost like a dance.

The Swe-Lomi massage begins with a complete Swedish style on the back. After this, oil is generously applied to the entire body. Since the forearm is the main tool when doing the Lomi portion, much oil is applied to allow the gliding sensation needed during the massage. From here on out, I generally will start each section of the body using a Swedish technique, followed by some Lomi techniques. Once the entire back of the body is massaged, I use Lomi techniques to bring the entire body together. Strokes will start on the back and go all the way down the leg and back. This is generally thought of as the most enjoyable part of the session. The client is then asked to turn over and the front side of the body is massaged in the same manner as the back side.

Swe-Lomi is the best of both worlds, using Swedish techniques to apply pressure where needed to relax achy muscles and Lomi-Lomi techniques to treat the body as a whole and relax the mind!

Goals:
  • Mind and body relaxation
  • Stimulate blood flow and healing
  • Provides more connected feeling with the body
Draping Options:
  • 1 small hand towel (default)
  • underwear draping (bottoms only)
  • no draping
Loving Touch Massage (1 hour - $65, 1.5 hour - $95) (FEATURED MASSAGE)

Massage contains natural, physical benefits from the heat and pressure that is applied to the body. This allows the body to heal itself internally. However, there is also the belief that massage can contain emotional and meta-physical benefits as well. The Loving Touch massage works on this principle by portraying emotional feelings of love, comfort, safety, being cared for, and true happiness during the massage to strengthen the client's sense of well-being. Clients often come away with a deep feeling of warmth and happiness, along with the natural healing benefits of massage.

Loving Touch is best described as a massage that is not as much about the mechanics of the massage, as it is about the intent and emotional expression behind the massage. During the Loving Touch massage, the strokes and techniques that are used are similar to the Swe-Lomi massage with long, slow, flowing strokes that start at one end of the body, and traverse the entire body, ending up where they started. These long, flowing strokes are very gentle and relaxing. Pressure is applied with the strokes to give you benefits similar to that of a Swedish massage.

With the Loving Touch massage, it's about more than just the strokes, techniques, or pressure used during the massage, as it is with other styles. In Loving Touch, the provider conveys emotions such as love, joy, and happiness to the client through the touch. With each stroke, the provider conjurs up these feelings specifically for the client, and releases them through the physical contact. The client picks up these emotions on a sub-conscience level resulting in a truly wonderful massage experience.

Goals:
  • Provides natural healing benefits of massage
  • Allows you to experience someone taking complete care of you
  • Provide emotional strength and stability
Draping Options:
  • 2 small hand towels (default - aligned in a "T" shape)
  • underwear draping (bottoms only)
  • no draping

Lymphatic Drainage (1 hour - $85, 1.5 hour - $115)

Lymphatic Drainage massage is mainly used to help the body rid itself of excess toxins by increasing the flow through the Lymphatic system. The Lymphatic System is responsible primarily for transporting lymph, a fluid that contains white blood cells which are key to fighting infections, throughout the body. It also is responsible for removing toxins, waste and other unwanted materials from the body. It is vital to keep your lymphatic system running smoothly in order to help fight infection. For this reason Lymphatic Massage is usually performed very soon after surgery, to keep swelling down and help the body fight any infections naturally, however it can be used in clients who have weakened immune systems and are at high risk for infections.

The Lymphatic Drainage massage is a very light pressure massage. The lymphatic vessels, which carry lymph throughout the body, are located immediately underneath the skin so a heavy pressure is not needed. Think of the lymphatic system as a thin garden hose. If you have a blockage somewhere in the middle, water can not be pumped through the hose at full pressure. The massage acts to gently break up and blockages, so the lymphatic system can move lymph at its full capability. During Lymphatic Drainage massage, lymph nodes are also emptied so they can receive lymph at their full capacity. Reflexology will be used on the chest area to help stimulate the lymphatic drainage system.

The length of time required to perform a Lymphatic Drainage massage really depends on what needs to be done. Please consult with your massage therapist in order to plan out a Lymphatic Drainage massage that meets your needs. This will tell you how long of a session you will need.

Goals:
  • Help reduce risk of infection
  • Stimulate lymph flow throughout the body
  • Clear lymph nodes to help restore normal flow
Draping Options:
  • 1 full bed sheet (default)
  • 1 beach towel
  • 2 smaller towels (aligned in a "T" shape)
  • underwear draping (bottoms only)
  • no draping
